About Me
I have always been interested in literature, characters and why people do what they do, so the decision to become an author while travelling around Europe in a campervan was inevitable. I began by writing an epic: 'Shadows in the Water' - something I may never actually complete (I'm sure we've all got one of those lurking about). Anyway, after finishing the first draft, I decided I needed to enhance my skills by taking a Masters Degree in Creative Writing: Innovation and Experiment at the University of Salford. I was rewarded with a distinction for my efforts. Completing the Masters was the best decision I ever made because I gained so much valuable writing knowledge. I was also able to meet other writers, from which I learnt as much, if not more, about being a writer as I did from the Master's itself. Have a community of like-minded people around you inspires and encourages you along the way. Since then I have self-published two novels, 'Collapse', and 'Tears of Blood', both in the post-apocalyptic genre. I am now in the process of writing 'Crash' a psychological thriller and I hope to have the final edit completed in the next couple of months, ready for the next stage - finding an agent. Wish me luck.

Collapse
June 2018
London, the near future, a future where all hope is lost. Society is divided. The rich live in the compounds, the poor outside the walls. Jack and Mia dream of a better life, Sadie lives a privileged life in the compounds, but is obsessed with Ashley, a streetwise gang member with a plan. A story told over the course of one hot day, different lives whose paths will cross in ways none of them could have imagined. Desperate times call for desperate measures, how far would any of us go to escape to a better life? Who will get out and how far will they go to make it happen?

A deadly pandemic is devastating the world’s population. In London, Izzy and her younger brother show no symptoms. They are immune, but to stay alive, they must leave the city and embark on a journey of peril and self-discovery.
Their fate is not merely one of survival. Their future is more than that. This journey will awaken abilities and senses dormant in them until now. What are they? Where did they come from?
Izzy and her brother are not alone. Other survivors know that they are so much more. Others who will stop at nothing to find them
The Circle?
May 2016
As part of the experimental section of my MA I wrote a piece entirely in questions. I developed the theme as an exploration of expressions of time, dimensions and units of space, and space between two things. There is so much unknown to us that to question becomes an end in itself, satisfying the curious mind by creating wonderment. I originally wrote the piece in mirror-writing to reinforce the exploration of spatial dimensions. The text could only be understood in reflection, in the alternate space the mirror offered. I also used an old English font and presented the piece on parchment paper in an envelope with wax seal to give the impression of an alternate time. However, I have it here in plain text, I hope you enjoy it, and I would be interested in your feedback.
